Harland & Wolff Cranes

£16.00

8 x 5 cm

Update: This current batch has been made in a recycled light weight apparel weave in natural.

Luxury artisan ornaments created from a source of recycled, sustainable Irish Linen. We use a mixture of vintage, local mill deadstock rolls from one of the last remaining linen mills still active in Ireland today, repurposed antique tablecloths, and off cuts from our own cushion making.

We love our designs and hope you do too- all our embroidered ornaments are fully copyrighted internationally to Katie Larmour.

These dinky little numbers are very special to me as I had them as my own wedding favours and posted out thank-yous (actually I had a mix). I thought it a perfect idea to have Belfast themed trinkets seeing as our lockdown wedding was at home and a way to celebrate our maritime heritage with these icons. I had great great grandparents on both sides who worked in the shipyards and so it’s also a little nod to them. The Harland & Wolff ship building structures are a dramatic addition to the city’s skyline and the bold yellow cannot be missed. It’s much taller and slimmer in proportion in real life but I like the squatness of my interpretation here. We were delighted to be chosen back in 2019 as a local supplier of the gift shop in ‘Titanic Experience’, one of the most impressive museum and visitor attractions in the world and can’t wait for it to get up and running again after lockdown ends. It’s a stones throw away from the cranes and so couldn’t be a better match.

Condition: A portion of our beading may also be reclaimed and might show signs of wear.

Care: Decoration only. Even though they look yummy do not eat. Not a toy. Do not place near a naked flame.
