Frequently Asked Questions
Are all products handmade? +
Yes. At the heart of Katie Larmour Linen is a dedication to true craftsmanship. Many of our cushions and textile pieces are carefully hand-stitched in Ireland. Our signature hanging decorations are created in collaboration with a small, highly skilled artisan workshop overseas, and then finished and packaged by hand back in Ireland. Every piece is made in small batches with a slow, considered approach.
Where are your products made? +
Our studio is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Many of our cushions and garments are crafted here in Ireland. The Christmas decorations are embroidered by a small, family-run artisan workshop abroad, with finishing touches and packaging completed at our studio. This way we honour our Irish linen heritage while supporting specialist craft communities.
What makes Irish linen special? +
Irish linen is spun from the flax plant and is renowned for its natural beauty, strength and longevity. The flax fibre uses comparatively little water, the whole plant is utilised, and it can be grown without heavy pesticides, making it an inherently thoughtful choice. We celebrate the undyed, natural tones of Irish linen, allowing its soft texture and subtle variations to become a signature of our work.
Are your pieces sustainable or eco-friendly? +
Sustainability is woven into our practice. We work with Irish linen, vintage and deadstock fabrics, and reclaimed embellishments wherever possible. Many of our hanging decorations, for example, are made from off-cuts from our cushion making and surplus textiles rescued from mills. We favour small-batch production, mindful shipping, and carefully chosen partners so that each piece is made with respect for both people and planet.
Will you restock sold-out items? +
Because many designs use limited vintage, deadstock or reclaimed fabrics, some pieces are only available in small runs and cannot be restocked once the materials are gone. When we are able to repeat a style, we do. If you are hoping for the return of a particular piece, we recommend joining our mailing list for updates on restocks and new collections.
Do you ship worldwide? +
Yes, we ship internationally. Orders can be placed from around the world directly through our website. Shipping options and costs are shown at checkout and may vary depending on your location. Any local customs duties or import taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.
How long does delivery take to the UK, Ireland, Europe, and the US? +
Delivery times depend on the destination and the time of year. As many pieces are handmade in small batches, please allow a little extra time during busy periods such as the festive season. Once your order has been dispatched you will receive a confirmation email, and where tracking is available you can follow your parcel’s progress from there.
What is your returns policy? +
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If something isn’t quite right, you can contact us within a specified period from receiving your order to arrange a return. Items should be unused, in their original condition and packaging. Because many of our pieces are handmade, limited edition or personalised, some items may be non-returnable or subject to special terms, which will be noted in the product description. Please get in touch with your order details and we will guide you through the process.
Do you offer wholesale pricing? +
Yes, we welcome wholesale and trade enquiries from boutiques, galleries, interior designers and select stockists. If you are interested in carrying Katie Larmour Linen, please visit our Wholesale page or contact us with information about your store, location and the pieces you are interested in. We will be pleased to share our wholesale catalogue, pricing and terms with suitable partners.
