Butterfly
11 x 9 cm
This batch has been made in a mixture of recycled Irish Linens in natural undyed tones, and in varying weave weights and grains. A portion of our beading is reclaimed, particularly the pearls, and may show signs of this - which we think add charm and character to the item.
Luxury artisan ornaments created from a source of recycled, sustainable Irish Linen. We use a mixture of vintage, local mill deadstock rolls from one of the last remaining linen mills still active in Ireland today, repurposed antique tablecloths, and off cuts from our own cushion making.
We love our designs and hope you do too- all our embroidered ornaments are fully copyrighted internationally to Katie Larmour.

I was inspired to designs this by my childhood memories of visiting my local history museum where there was a magnificent display of colourful butterflies. Butterflies appear in Irish literature as messengers between this world and the other world, no doubt a reference to their magical transformative life cycle. A very pretty design with dainty embellishment and if you look closely you can see the body of the insect part detailed in the centre. The larger pearl beads are the huge ‘eyes’ that butterflies have to scare off any pray. A butterfly can be a lovely keepsake for someone special, this trinket can be sentimental or the perfect a token of an existing friendship. This is such a pretty design perfect for so many occasions - birthdays, thank-yous, little ones’ decor, Mother’s Day and much more. Like all our pieces, it twinkles like jewellery.
Part of our Ulster Museum Collection.
Condition: A portion of our beading may also be reclaimed and might show signs of wear.
Care: Decoration only. Even though they look yummy do not eat. Not a toy. Do not place near a naked flame.
