‘GREY & WHITE’ a poem by John Hewitt
A celebrated poet from Belfast, so much so that we even have a bar named after him. A simple poem but one so soft and beautiful with my favourite colours both grey and white. We may not have the most desirable weather here in Northern Ireland but the scenery I’m sure you will agree is always a sight!
Grey & White, 1940
John Hewitt
Grey sea, grey sky two things are bright;
the gull-white foam, the gull, foam-white.
