Luxury artisan ornaments created from a source of recycled, sustainable Irish Linen. We use a mixture of vintage, local mill headstock rolls from one of the last remaining linen mills still active in Ireland today, repurposed antique tablecloths, and off cuts from our own cushion making.

We love our designs and hope you do too- all our embroidered ornaments are fully copyrighted internationally to Katie Larmour. Originallly designed by Katie in 2019, this unique decoration has been released in limited editions of deadstock and vintage Irish linens in light honey to deep mustard tones. It was re-launched as a collaboration with Royal Kew Gardens in 2023 and re-leased again in natural plant dye versions with hand dyed cloth by Katie in the workshop in Ireland.

Bee happy with this cute little honeypot. Inspired by our friends at ‘Summerhill Honey’ makers on the Ards Peninsula in Country Down. Any excuse for some exciting research took me down the West Coast of Ireland of summer 2020 to explore the super cool ancient dry-stone beehive huts on Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry. Here I am in the drizzling rain. I find it fascinating that this style of house was still in use as recent as a hundred years ago - small, circular, single-roomed dwellings with a hole in the ceiling to let out smoke. I’ve snapped the little trinket against some beautiful zingy mustard hued Irish Linen of my ‘Roisin Top’ in ‘Lichen Yellow’, I loved how the gentle folds of it’s ruffles and un-ironed creases care captured by the light, it makes an amazing improvised backdrop.

Please note: Our current batches of these beehive decorations in both the natural oatmeal and the yellow do not have the flying lines, they are our older previous version of the design. There might be a slight difference in colour tone and texture from the listing image as we use a mixture and variety of deadstock fabric.

Condition: A portion of our beading may also be reclaimed and might show signs of wear.

Care: Decoration only. Even though they look yummy do not eat. Not a toy. Do not place near a naked flame.
