FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Do you ship to Bermuda?

A. Yes, we ship to most places in the world.

Q. Can you add a date or initials on a hanging decoration?

A. We are not currently offering bespoke pieces, we hope this doesn’t lead to any disappointment.

Q. This is being sent as a gift, could you include a handwritten or printed out note with my package?

A. We are not currently offering bespoke notes as an added or complimentary service, we hope this doesn’t lead to any disappointment.

Q. Do you have a physical shop we can visit?

A. We do not have a brick-and-mortar shop and our studio-workshop is not open to the public. We have over 200 retailers carrying our range globally, you can find our products stocked in the following establishments: https://katielarmour.com/stockists

Q. Do you sell on etsy?

A. Yes.

Q. Do you sell on Amazon?

A. Not currently.

Q. What size are the Christmas decorations?

A. On average they are 10cm in the round, this may vary slightly from design to design and also piece to piece as each one is individually handmade. We should have most items measurements detailed under their listing.

Q. Do you do wedding favours?

A. Yes, we have supplied many a beautiful wedding. Our hanging decorations work perfectly as mementos for your entire room of guests, or some couples opt just to gift the top table / wedding party. Our decorations work great as ornaments placed in the centre of the dinner plate and napkin or in and around the place setting. We do bulk order discounts for these occasions (varying with quantities ordered).

Q. Do you do corporate gifts?

A. Yes, we can propose a selection of decorations tailored to suit your occasion, event and budget.

Q. Do you offer gift/presentation boxes, even as a charged add on?

A. No, we phased out a lot of our packaging a while back and are always striving to scale everything down. Each decoration comes wth a teeny paper swing tag label which displays the brand name and describes the linen.

Q. I am interested in making a wholesale order, what kind of packaging do your orders arrive to the shop in as we care about sustainability?

A. We use a mixture of natural and recycled materials for our packaging. We use a small amount of eco-friendly kraft paper ‘beehive’ style bubble wrap alternative cushioning. We try to re-use cardboard boxes when we can, and other wrapping, from our own deliveries of materials. For our D2C online shop orders we often use a very small amount of acid-free, recycled, kraft tissue paper, a cute branded sticker, and part-recycled jiffy envelopes.

Q. Where are your items made?

A. A mixture - we make as much as we can in Ireland. All of our Irish linen cushions and Irish linen garments are hand stitched in Ireland. Our Christmas decoration range is embroidered in India by a select, small group of highly skilled artisan makers that we work closely with, using a ‘zari’ technique (which is traditional to the region). We slow ship our scrap fabric which minimises emissions of the logistics. The labels and final packaging on the festive decoration are then done by hand in Ireland, and online shop and wholesale orders dispatched from here. All our Irish Linen fabric is sourced here in Ireland - it is a mixture of local linen mill waste, lab tests and deadstock rolls (from a handful of the last remaining linen mills still active in Ireland today), vintage finds from auction houses, our own studio off-cuts (sometimes including other makers from the community’s off-cuts), and some very special hand-woven batches.

Q. Can I still order a ‘ruffle top’?

A. Our order books are currently closed for garments. The ‘Roisin Top’, which was based on a vintage pattern, was available for a limited time only in 2021 to coincide with the first series of ‘A Stitch Through Time’ (BBC). It was a reconstruction of a vintage find on Katie’s antique hunting travels in the early naughties.

Q. Can I buy the pattern?

A. The pattern is not available to purchase.
