Description: Large custom made luxury cushion (pillow to our american customers) created from an exquisite vintage 1980s pure silk Cartier fashion scarf in a deep sea ocean blue green turquoise hue. It features their signature bejewelled bracelet with iconic panthers head to head in a white gold or beautiful platinum. It depicts pave-set onyx and diamonds and is a variation of the famous ‘haute joaillerie’ piece originally created for Duchess of Windsor, Wallace Simpson. Considered one of jeweler Jean Toussaint's greatest triumphs for the Parisian brand, an empire which originated in 1847 with Louis-François Cartier, and one of his most whimsical, timeless and symbolic creations recognised all around the world. Note the elegant ‘Must de Cartier Paris’ branding along the bottom edge, translating as ‘Cartier, it's a must!’ and who could disagree, it’s something one must have. The fabric was personally hand-picked by Katie at antiques market ‘Marche aux Puces Saint-Ouen’ on the outskirts of Paris. On a sumptuous silk soft to the touch. Backed in new 100% pure Irish linen, the aristocrat of textiles and certified by the Irish Linen Guild, lined in a layer of natural bamboo cloth, filled with new custom-made plush duck feather insert and a concealed zip. The traditional oatmeal color linen is a combination of the unbleached raw colour of the natural flax plant on the weft intertwined with pristine white on the warp, resulting in a beautiful melange effect.
