Irish Thatched Cottage

Our original Irish Thatched Cottage, a little celebration of Ireland's rural heritage, full of nostalgia and old-world charm.

Inspired by visits to the Ulster Folk Museum and the Ulster American Folk Park, both part of National Museums NI, whose gift shops we're delighted to supply with our collections. These wonderful museums preserve the stories, buildings and traditions of generations past, including the beautifully thatched cottages that once dotted the Irish countryside.

A little shout-out, too, to the lovely Cockle Row Cottages, nestled in the beautiful, colourful seaside village of Groomsport, County Down, where our hanging decorations can also be found during the summer months. It's always a pleasure to see our little pieces stocked in places celebrating Northern Ireland's local heritage.

A few photographs from a day out at Cockle Row Cottages in Groomsport, back when both my little boys were too young for school and came everywhere with me! Those wonderfully chaotic days of surviving on about four hours' sleep, with two small companions in tow, exploring little seaside villages, collecting shells, climbing on anchors and discovering interesting corners of Northern Ireland. Looking back, they were rather lovely adventures, even if I was permanently exhausted at the time!

Handmade from beautiful Irish Linen, our little cottage features subtle, tonal metallic embellishments in champagne gold, with delicate silver accents. Understated, rustic and wonderfully nostalgic, it's a charming tribute to traditional Irish craftsmanship and country living.

This is our original cottage design, with a past limited edition in white, and a new pastel pink linen colourway joining the collection soon!

A lovely keepsake for those with Irish roots, a reminder of home for those living further afield, or simply a little piece of the Irish countryside to hang on your Christmas tree.
