Katie Larmour has designed an exclusive collection of Artisan Linen for upmarket department store Heal's of London. The range for Spring 2017 is available from their flagship department store on Tottenham Court Road in London and also online at www.heals.com. In 100% pure Irish Linen, certified by the Irish Linen Guild, the range of luxury handcrafted designer cushions has been created in Katie Larmour's signature neutral colour palate, a combination of classic pristine white and natural undyed oatmeal, the raw colour of the flax plant. Thus making the range ideal for mix and matching within the trio of designs. Linen is soft yet strong and can be at it's most attractive when just that tiny little bit wrinkly. Adding extra charm are the beautiful Irish names given to each individual cushion design including Tara, Erina and Iona.

The prestigious store has been at the forefront of modern design for over 200 years and renowned for their influence on the Arts & Crafts and Modernist movements. Heal's has always been firmly placed at the centre of design in Britain, striking the perfect balance between innovation and traditional craftsmanship and with it raising British design standards. Their motto ‘Good design. Well Made.’ still lives on today.

Heal's often invite designers to design exclusive pieces for the store and so collection consists of brand new designs. Fascinated with the firm’s history and heritage, Katie looked back to some of their archive furniture for inspiration, in particular a stunning antique writing desk on which she based her minimalist shapes. Incorporating a lozenge shaped motif on the drawers the Circa 1920's oak piece is a 'Moderne' version of Heal's distinctively late At's & Crafts manner.

Each contemporary patchwork piece is handcrafted in Ireland embracing traditional artisan skills, constructed and sewn with care and precision in her studio in Belfast. The large oversized cushions are simple, fresh, with clean lines and striking block colours making them dramatic statement pieces.

In a world of mass production and throwaway fashions each cushion produced in this collection is handcrafted and unique, every single one being a one-of-a-kind beauty, Heal's of London champion handmade and quality materials and so there is a natural synergy collaborating with Katie Larmour's Artisan Linen brand.

Katie Larmour's cushion collection for Heal’s will feature in a shoot in ‘House Beautiful’ magazine later this month.
