KATIE LARMOUR LINEN EXHIBITS WITH 'THE DESIGN SALON' IN BELFAST
EXHIBITING WITH THE DESIGN SALON
As part of Belfast Design Week Katie Larmour Linen was invited to exhibit with The Design Salon in their annual exhibition. Having left our work down the previous week it was a nice surprise to see my pieces displayed alongside my elder sister Jane’s framed architectural drawings and watercolours, reassurance that we most definitely compliment each other in all aspects of life.
The Design Salon is a Belfast-based Design collective which was formed in 2014 as an informal group interested in design and discussing a common goal - how to celebrate and promote high quality, contemporary local design and designers both to the people living here and on an international scale!
We loved the idea of Belfast eventually becoming a "Design" city; a must-visit place for design aficionados as Berlin or Copenhagen have become. Karishma Kusurkar, The Design Salon
The gallery space at Framewerks doubled up as the closing party for the Design Week and I must say I’m glad I went as I discovered the most awesome craft beer, Boundary Brewing, a local co-operative microbrewery, with special edition art labels and pale ale what more could an artist want.
